As we begin April we are met with the prospect of the fast approaching Wide Days Showcase events, with a line-up to get more than a bit excited about we are here to give you the low-down on this years seven showcase artists!
The Vegan Leather
Paisley Art-Pop quartet The Vegan Leather will play The Liquid Rooms on the 21st! Bringing their colourfully dynamic show to Edinburgh as part of this years Wide Day’s. Having already been announced for a string of Scottish Festivals this year, they bring their vivid pop tracks, confidently fun stage presence and original style to showcase their wildly unmissable awe inspiring performance to the city!
Vistas
Edinburgh based talent Vistas will join The Vegan Leather in The Liquid Rooms on the 21st! A band hotly tipped as one to watch this year, they came out of 2016 with a string of highly successful releases and estimable live performances under their belts, they start this year by bringing their electric adrenaline fuelled set to Wide Day’s. Recently grabbing themselves a support slot with Clean Cut Kid they are a band not to be missed when the chance arises…
Declan Welsh & The Decadent West
Unapologetically forward thinking, all round musically gifted Glasgow act Declan Welsh & The Decadent West will be the final act joining The Vegan Leather and Vistas in the Liquid Rooms on the 21st. Recently shortlisted for a slot at Glastonbury their unique talents bring about a performance that draws you into it’s powerfully raw duration. A must see act that should be on everyone’s radar this year!
The Ninth Wave
New wave Glasgow pop outfit The Ninth Wave will take the stage at La Belle Angele on the 21st! Having had an explosive 2016 the four-piece decsend on Edinburgh bringing their captivatingly dark pop tracks, confident stage presence and original style to give a dynamic feelgood show!
The Spook School
Harmoniously feelgood indie-pop outfit The Spook School will be the taking the stage at La Belle Angele on the 21st! Giving a summery upbeat performance of their positively catchy dynamic tracks which contain an unapologetic punk twist. Intertwining genres combined with an energetic delivery gives for a performance not to be missed!
JR Green
Atmospherically mellow duo JR Green will take the stage at Teviot Row House, providing a well rounded performance of dulcet melodies wrapped around warm powerful vocals and dynamic percussion roughly packaged into each passionately emotion evoking track. Bringing a fun genre twist to the showcase night overall. A talent not to be missed!
Emme Woods
Joining JR Green at Teviot Row House will be hazy melodious solo act Emme Woods. Bringing her sheer talent of combined hipswaying charming tracks which effortlessly flow along with warm tones and rich empowering vocals. Underlying swaying fuzzy guitar riffs and soothing drum rhythms bring about a mesmerising performance not to be missed!
