Beginning this evening is King Tut’s famous Summer Nights. Over the course of 14 nights, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut’s plays hosts to some of Scotland best up and coming artists. But these are the nights you simply cannot miss!
FRIDAY 14TH JULY
HEADLINE: Declan Welsh and The Decadent West
SUPPORT: SAHARA, Five Cousins and Lost In Vancouver
VENUE: DJ: Everything Brighter
Bring their politically influenced, boisterous music to the King Tuts stage is Declan Welsh and the Decadent West. An energetic riff filled gig with eye opening lyrics they put on one of the most intriguing live shows Scotland has to offer. Joined by the infectious Lost In Vancouver and Five Cousins, both armed with their memorable music and of course by the Indie band from Dundee forever causing a stir, SAHARA. TUESDAY 18TH JULY
HEADLINE: False Friends
SUPPORT: Adam Ross Greene, Chris Grieg and Oceancode
VENUE DJ: Club Decode
Headlining the King Tuts stage is False Friends. Their rock music with a folk feel certainly goes down well. With a little acoustic hint to their sound, their songs encourage a sway. Many will find False Friends enjoyable. The band are joined by recently formed Edinburgh band Oceancode and by the sweet acoustic tones of Chris Grieg and Adam Ross Greene. Bringing their adventurous riff performance to King Tuts is Ava Love. Having recently released their new addictive single Chophouse, it’s exciting to see what is yet to come from this band. No better place to showcase the future than a live set. Joined by Glasgow’s own Other Humans and Victoria’s Flight. Dundee indie pop band Model Aeroplanes are back and headlining King Tuts. Having been quiet for sometime, the four piece are making their way back. With the recent release of their single Lover, we have a little taste of whats to come. Known for their almost tropical and contagious sound, their good music never fails.
