The LaFontaines are back with a brand new single. ‘Release The Hounds’ is released November 21st via Lab Records. Read below to find out why you need to wrap your ears around it…
‘Release The Hounds’ still packs the same punch as every other single that The LaFontaines have released, it holds the same aggressive underlying style to it, which the band have become well known for using. While listening to it, you can’t help but subconsciously bop your head.. The LaFontaines always find a clever way to get relevant, widely experienced points across in their songs, with interesting lyrics that draw you further into the song, leaving you intrigued yet amused by their meaning.
With a weighty bass-line that carries throughout the song giving the track a much heavier feel to it, Kerr’s unmistakable vocals and synthy melodies and effects adding an upbeat feel to it, this song has many interesting layers to it which leave you listening intently and hanging on to each individual section.
‘Release The Hounds’ then builds to a heavier ending of solid guitar riffs, synth goodness and raw vocals. The single is neatly wrapped up into just under four minutes of intense listening that will leave you wanting more. ‘Release The Hounds’ will be stuck in your head for days and will more than likely leave you hitting the replay button. The LaFontaines have outdone themselves with this release….
