Help Musicians UK and PRS Foundation present Ignite Scotland’s second showcase. Taking place at Glasgow’s Saint Lukes on 27th February, the night features performances from upcoming Scottish acts including The Vegan Leather, Aaron Smith, Niko and Acrylic. Read more about the acts below.
The Vegan Leather are currently one of Scotland biggest and most entertaining upcoming acts. Describing themselves as art pop, the four-piece concoct a mesmerising musical formula. Their live show could definitely be deemed unmissable.
Acrylic brings their dreamy set to Saint Luke’s. The band have a wonderful floating quality to their music, far from your typical indie band. There is a great artistic element to their songs, allowing the listener to get lost.
Bringing a hip-hop element to the gig is Livingston based hip-hop artist, Niko. Releasing his debut album last year he brings something different to the Scottish music scene. It’ll be exciting to see what he has in the bag for his live show.
Last but not least is local busker Aaron Smith. Armed with stunning vocals and music with a folk twist, his live performance is sure to be captivating. With music that’s anything but typical, who knows what he is going to have in store.
