So last weekend we ventured down to Drumlanrig Castle for Electric Fields festival. Here is a quick overview of our Saturday highlights.

Bella and the Bear

Opening the Stuart Cruickshank stage on Saturday were the amazing Bella and the Bear. Their performance had a raw powerful beauty to it, due to it’s simple yet elegant nature. Their unique talent and powerful voices drew a large crowd which they were more than deserving of. The performance drew you in and the crowd clearly loved every minute of it. A definite emotion evoking performance from the duo, a must see act.

The Van T’s

Opening the main stage were everyone’s favourites, The Van T’s. With their fun-loving and high energy performance, they were definitely what the crowds needed to start their day. With an unmatchable stage presence, dynamic vocals and full on indie/grunge vibes flowing throughout their entire performance, it was hard not to love every second of their set.

Lisbon

The sun was shining and Lisbon took to the Stuart Cruickshank stage and gave everyone a dose of the feelgood summer pop that they were in need of. Every second of their set was high energy and evidently reciprocated by the crowd with everyone dancing away in their own interesting style. Their up-beat melodies coupled with the roaring instrumentation, rang out across the large crowd that had ventured to catch their set. It was my first time catching these guy’s and I would definitely recommend going to see them.

Model Aeroplanes

Model Aeroplanes played the Stuart Cruickshank Saturday evening and provided festival goers with their up-beat indie tuneage. The crowd clearly loved every minute of their performance as they moved and danced to every song the band went into. Breaking out into ‘Club Low’ the crowd went wild, with lyrics being shouted back, the whole experience was high energy and fun. A definite must see band.

White

White took to the Stuart Cruickshank stage and provided a packed tent of lively festival goers with a truly spectacular performance. Their energetic performance saw the whole crowd dancing away to their vibrant, absolute tunes. It was a crowd atmosphere that was truly unique, everyone got lost for their set and lyrics could be heard being screamed back at the band from the front to the back of the crowd.  Their unique style and stage presence, shines through in their performances. They provided a solid performance  and proved just why they are undoubtedly lovable for their unique ways. The raw energy and power that is put into each of their performances is truly unmatchable. You have to go and see White live, you will not regret it.

Keep an eye out for our up-coming interviews from Electric Fields which will be up soon.

Thanks for reading ❤
