Nottingham five piece D.I.D (formerly known as Dog Is Dead) have returned with their latest single, Flush. The band have been fairly quiet since the release of their Fast Food EP, which came out a little over a year ago now. However, all signs point to the fact the band are back with a bang. It’s more than likely they may have a couple songs and gigs up their sleeve.
Flush could fit perfectly into their latest works. Following the same sound and melodic flow of Fast Food and Gameplan, it’s a continuation for the band. A quiet, transfixing start that eases into a raw, undoubtedly magnifying chorus. The song rises and falls with crisp drums and harmonies. The typical Dog Is Dead sound is familiar but the familiarity card isn’t played too safely, giving fans what they love with just a hint of something different. It’s quite clear that Flush is only a taste of what’s to come from the band and it’s likely we will be hearing quite a bit more from D.I.D very soon. Check out the single below:
