THEGIG LIST (3).png

With the announcement of The Fratellis as their special guest and as you may have seen and already got excited about, an absolutely amazing Festival with a brilliant line-up of some of Scotland’s best up and coming bands, recently got announced. Taking place at Camperdown Park in Dundee on the 12th and 13th of August, Carnival Fifty Six is strongly contending with some of Scotland’s larger festivals this year! Give our Line-Up lowdown a read below…

Model Aeroplanes

The Dundee four-piece join the line-up having already been announced for a handful of fetivals across the UK, brightening the weekend with their high energy, vivid pop tunes and dynamic live sets. With a string of highly successful releases and a whole host of accolades under their belts they are sure fan favourites for the festival.

Indigo Velvet

Tropical-pop Edinburgh four piece Indigo Velvet are a further addition to the Carnival Fifty Six line-up, bringing their feelgood atmospheric sets, confidently prominent stage presence and up-beat, breezy tracks to Dundee. Having already kicked off their festival season this year, they are no strangers to putting on the best festival sets with a fitting sound, style and overall stage manner they are definitely a band to catch.

Sahara

Dundee four-piece Sahara had a highly successful 2016 with a critically acclaimed three track EP released mid last year and a string of live dates supporting some of the UK’s best bands, their careers have gone from strength to strength since their initial formation. Hotly tipped as one to watch in 2017 there is no way you can miss their well perfected sets of heavy indie soaked tracks with hazy guitar melodies and overall positively  high energy presence. Making them a perfect addition for a home-town summer festival.

Be Charlotte

Praised as one of Scotland’s rapidly rising stars, Be Charlotte had an amazing 2016 and has already kicked off her 2017 with a string of European and Scottish dates at some of the countries best venues. Her catchy, dynamically lively tracks will bring a fun twist to the festivals overall line-up. We’d definitely recommend  getting along to catch her set while you still have the chance of seeing her in an intimate setting.

Lost In Vancouver

Edinburgh’s rising stars, Indie-rock four-piece Lost in Vancouver have gained a huge amount of recognition as of late. With two well received singles already released this year and a collection of live dates across Scotland, they  are well on there way to proving their place as one to watch this year. With a catalogue of tracks worthy of festival appearances, their seriously confident, melodically capturing up-beat tracks will draw you into their performance leaving you scrambling to get behind this seriously brilliant up and coming band.

Crash Club

Hailed as one of Scotland’s brightest stars in regards to up and coming talent and described as electro dance rock the Glasgow outfit will provide a fun twist to the overall festival. Giving an infectious burst to the weekends line-up. A performance not to be missed!
