Bleached @ The Usher Hall, Edinburgh – 22/06/17

Supporting Paramore yesterday evening at The Usher Hall in Edinburgh was none other than Bleached.

Hailing from California, Bleached is not a band name many of us over the pond would recognise. Now with two albums and a new EP under their belt, they are supporting Paramore on their current UK your. Bringing their fuzzy Californian sound to Edinburgh, they lit up the entire room. Their rock n roll noise delved in between the retro on the beat tracks and those with an undeniable grunge feel. It’s quite clear that their sound is more than ready for venues with the larger capacity. Their sound filling every inch of the venue.

The female fronted band has a quirky aura, with strong fashion and clear confidence in their music. A cover of Nirvana’s Territorial Pissings sparked insight into where their influences may come from. Even a possible influence on their moniker. Their set had ups and downs, loud and furious as well as some laid back and summer vibes. Finishing on their song Dead In Your Head, they definitely won over quite the number of new fans. Switching instruments to showcase their levels of talent, the left the crowd in wonder.
