Untitled design (10)

So with Belladrum rapidly approaching and two members of your favourite blog venturing up there to be generally fabulous, I thought I would give you guy’s the lowdown on the Bella ones to watch and why this years line-up is truly spectacular.

This year Belladrum takes place from the 4th to the 6th of August, here are some bands that you must be present for at the festival.

The Lapelles

Having had an absolutely incredible past six months it’s no wonder The Lapelles are making an appearance at this years Belladrum Festival. The band have gone from strength to strength bagging themselves some of the most prestigious event slots while still having time to release their absolute tune of a single ‘Grab Life By’, with further tours scheduled for the end of this year, there is nothing stopping them leaving their trail of success across the UK. Having already supported the likes of The Kooks, Blossoms and The Last Shadow Puppets and with them being no strangers to putting on worthy festival performances as proved at this years T in the Park why would you not want to catch their set. They give solid live performances and their songs are undoubtedly crowd starters, so make sure you get along and catch their set.

With an amazingly quirky sound, style and stage presence it is clear to see why White have a rapidly growing fan-base. They have been leaving an absolutely monstrous trail of success behind them as of late. With appearances all over Europe, Lattitude and Sound City as well as many huge UK dates, it has been hard to keep up with what they will be doing next. Their most recent single ‘Step Up’ is our first introduction to their new material that will be gracing us this autumn and what an absolutely incredible introduction it is. Having already experienced one of their performances, I can truly say that it is a spectacle not to be missed, their performances are energetic and it will make your time at Belladrum all the more worthwhile.

We couldn’t make a post and not include our favourite Tropical-Pop band. The guy’s have been receiving a huge amount of support from all directions over the past year. As they have released some absolutely brilliant tunes and appeared on some pretty prestigious line-ups. This month saw them take to the T Break stage at T in the Park and absolutely smash their performance, with them receiving press and radio coverage from some of the biggest names in music. There are undoubtedly big things coming our way from this band so you’d be mad to miss their set of feelgood, summery tunes in the perfect location for you to dance away to them.

Catholic Action

Catholic Action are a four-piece band from Glasgow who have had a hell of a year so far, with appearances at some of the UK’s best festivals and events such as the likes of Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Live At Leeds and  The Great Escape as well as extensive touring across the UK. There is a massive buzz surrounding them at the moment and rightly so as they continue to make waves in the music scene with more prestigious festival announcements and absolutely brilliant releases such as their most recent single ‘l.u.v’, which gained them further popularity due to it’s hella catchy melody, upbeat vibes and exceptional vocals all neatly packed into just over two minutes. Make sure you get down and catch these guy’s, you’ll be left with many regrets otherwise.
